My name is Connie Sullivan, and right now, I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my child.

Three months pregnant, my life seemed bathed in a warm glow, and the future was full of hope.

But that happiness was utterly shattered the moment I received the court summons.

Staring at the subpoena in my hand, my hand trembled slightly despite myself.

The person suing me is a woman who claims to be Jeff Brady's wifeher name is Lena Mussolini.

She demanded that I abort the baby in my womb. That demand struck my heart like a heavy blow, leaving me utterly stunned.

Jeff Brady is my husband. Since we got married, we have always been deeply in love.

No matter how hard I try, I can't understand why Lena suddenly appeared and made such a ridiculous demand.

Just as I was overwhelmed with confusion, my phone lit upit was a message from Jeff Brady.

He said, "Connie, go along with Lena, don't provoke her."

When I saw this message, my heart sank instantly, and a wave of unease spread deep inside me.

Why does he want me to go along with this strange woman?

What exactly is Lena Mussolini's relationship with him?

I took a deep breath and tried hard to calm myself.

I couldn't just be scared by her; I had to stand up for myself and the child in my womb.

I gathered myself and decided to go meet this Lena Mussolini.

When I arrived at the agreed spot and saw Lena Mussolini, she wore an arrogant look, as if she alone ruled the world.

"So, you are Connie Sullivan?" She looked me up and down, her eyes full of disdain. "I'm telling you, get an abortion immediately and stop bothering Jeff."

I straightened my spine and met her gaze without a hint of fear. "On what grounds do you expect me to abort? I am Jeff's legal wife."

Saying that, I pulled out the marriage certificate between Jeff Brady and me from my bag and held it out before her. "Look carefullythis is my marriage certificate with Jeff."

Lena Mussolini sneered and took out a marriage certificate from her own bag. "Hmph, do you think you're the only one who has a marriage certificate?"

"Look, this is the marriage certificate between Jeff and me."

I took the marriage certificate from her in disbelief. Seeing Jeff Brady's name and photo on it, with the same registration date as on my own certificate, my mind went completely blank.

How is this possible? How could Jeff Brady have registered marriage with two people at the same time?

A wave of intense anger and hurt surged within me. I felt utterly betrayed.

"This can't be real, it has to be fake!" I shouted angrily, "Jeff wouldn't do this to me."

Lena Mussolini sneered at me, "You're so naive. Jeff loves me. You're just a plaything to him."

"If you know what's good for you, just sign this letter of commitment nowpromise not to bother Jeff again, and then get an abortion. Otherwise, I have plenty of ways to ruin your reputation."

With that, she handed me a Letter of Commitment and a pen.

I angrily threw the Letter of Commitment and pen to the ground. "I won't sign this. I'm going to find Jeff and get a proper explanation from him. He owes me that much."

Lena Mussolini's face darkened as she said, "You're just making things harder on yourself. Do you really think Jeff will help you?"

"He's probably already hiding, too scared to face you."

I ignored her threats and turned to leave.

I have to find Jeff Brady and make him give me an explanation.

How could the man who once sworn to love me for a lifetime do something like this?

My heart was bleeding, and the baby in my belly seemed to sense my sorrow, moving softly.

I stroked my belly and silently vowed that no matter what, I would protect this little life and uncover the truth behind it all.

After leaving Lena Mussolini, I was filled with anger and frustration, determined to find Jeff Brady and get a reasonable explanation from him.

However, I made countless calls and sent countless messages, but he never responded, as if he had disappeared into thin air.

I was burning with anxiety, and the baby inside me seemed to feel my emotions, moving occasionally as if reminding me to stay calm.

Just when I felt utterly hopeless, Lena Mussolini reached out again, asking me to meet her at a caf, saying she had something important to show me.

I hesitated briefly but ultimately decided to go to the meeting.

I wanted to see what tricks she was trying to pull this time.

When I walked into the caf, Lena Mussolini was already sitting there, wearing an inscrutable smile, a hint of triumph in her eyes.

She saw me coming, pointed to the seat across from her, signaling for me to sit down.

"Connie, I know you've never believed what I said, but today, I'll make you lose all hope." Lena said as she took out a tablet and placed it in front of me. "See for yourself."

I took the tablet hesitantly; on the screen was a video.

In the video, Jeff Brady was sitting at a table surrounded by a group of people. On the table was a large cake with the words "Happy 5th Wedding Anniversary" written on it.

Jeff Brady's face was lit up with a joyful smile. Beside him, Lena Mussolini wore a beautiful dress, looking especially radiant.

Around them stood Jeff Brady's family, each wearing warm smiles, showing deep affection and acceptance toward Lena Mussolini.

Just then, a little boy of about three ran over, threw himself into Jeff Brady's arms, and called out in a childish voice, "Daddy, daddy."

Jeff Brady lifted the little boy up, kissed his cheek, his face full of tenderness.

Seeing that scene, it felt as if a sharp knife had plunged into my heart, pain so intense I could hardly breathe.

It turned out Jeff Brady had been deceiving me all along; he had married Lena Mussolini long ago and even had a child with her.

And I, all this time, had been kept in the dark, foolishly believing his sweet lies.

I lifted my head and looked at Lena Mussolini; a smug smile still played on her lips, as if gloating over her victory.

I glared at her in fury, almost crushing the tablet in my hand.

"Are you satisfied now?" I gritted my teeth and said, "Did you show me this video just to humiliate me?"

Lena Mussolini sneered, "Humiliate you? I'm just trying to make you face reality. Jeff loves me. His being with you is nothing but a game."

"Look at yourselfso miserable now, and pregnant. Do you really think Jeff would want you and your child?"

I trembled with anger but was powerless to argue.

I knew she was telling the truth; Jeff Brady's actions had already proven everything.

I always believed our love was unbreakable, but I never imagined it could be so fragile, so easily shattered.

"So, what do you want to do then?" I asked coldly, "You've already gotten what you wanted, so what more do you want from me?"

Lena looked at me, a flicker of complicated emotion in her eyes, then said, "I'll give you one last chance. If you sign that letter of commitment, promising not to interfere with Jeff anymore, I can give you a sum of money that will ensure you never have to worry about food or clothing again."

A strong wave of disgust surged through mehow could I possibly sign such a Letter of Commitment?

Though I have lost love, I still have my dignity.

I will never abandon my principles for money.

"Don't even dream about it," I said fiercely, "I won't sign that letter of commitment."

"This isn't over. I will make Jeff answer to me."

Lena Mussolini's face darkened when she heard my words: "You're truly stubborn. If that's the case, don't expect me to hold back."

"Just wait. You'll regret your decision."

After saying that, she stood up, grabbed her bag, and walked out of the caf.

I sat there, watching her disappear into the distance, my heart swirling with a mix of emotions.

I don't know what to do. The child in my womb is my only concernI can't let him come to any harm.

But faced with this situation, how am I supposed to protect him?

I sat silently in the caf, tears streaming uncontrollably down my face.

I once believed I was the happiest woman alive, with a loving husband and a child on the way.

Yet in an instant, it all turned to dustas if I'd fallen straight from heaven into hell.

I hate Jeff Bradyhate his lies and betrayal; I also hate Lena Mussolinihate her relentless aggression.

But what good will hating do? What's done is done. I have to face reality.

I wiped away my tears, stood up, and walked out of the caf.

No matter how difficult the road ahead, I must stay strong and keep moving forward, for myself and the child in my womb.

I believe that one day the truth will be revealed, and Jeff Brady and Lena Mussolini will have to pay for what they've done.

Since that heartbreaking meeting at the caf, I've been set on exposing Jeff Brady's true colors.

I began carefully digging through Jeff Brady's information, trying to find proof that he had been deceiving Lena Mussolini.

Finally, amidst the countless dense chat logs and emails, I found key evidence enough to prove he'd been lying to Lena all along.

I reached out to Lena again and arranged to meet her.

When we faced each other once more, her eyes still held that arrogance and disdainbut I was no longer afraid.

I took a deep breath and laid all the evidence I found out in front of her.

"Look at this," I said coldly, pointing at the messages on my phone screen. "This is proof that Jeff has been deceiving you."

"He was married to you while being with me at the same time. He doesn't love youhe was just using you."

Lena Mussolini looked at the messages, her face turning increasingly pale.

Her hands trembled slightly, clearly shaken by the evidence.

"This can't be," she muttered to herself. "Jeff wouldn't do this to me. He said he loved me, said we'd be together forever."

"The facts are right in front of you, and you still refuse to believe them?" I said angrily, "He's a liar. He deceived you and he deceived me too."

"Do you really think he'll take responsibility for you and your child? He's just playing with our feelings."

Lena Mussolini lifted her head, her eyes filled with anger and unwillingness to accept it: "I'm going to find Jeff. I want him to give me an explanation."

After saying that, she grabbed her phone and dialed Jeff Brady's number.

Once the call connected, Lena angrily confronted Jeff: "Jeff, why did you lie to me? What exactly do you think I am to you?"

On the other end of the phone, Jeff Brady was silent for a moment, then said, "Lena, let me explain. Things aren't what you think."

"Are you still trying to deny it?" Lena Mussolini grew even angrier.

"Don't think you can get away with this. Today, you have to give me an explanation, or I won't let you off."

Jeff sighed on the phone, "Lena, I'm sorry, it's my fault. I'll handle this. Please don't be angry."

"Handle it? How exactly do you plan to?" Lena sneered, "Are you still trying to lie to us? Let me tell you, it's not that easy."

Jeff was silent for a moment, then said, "Lena, don't get upset. Let's talk when we meet."

After saying that, he hung up the phone.

Lena put down her phone and looked at me, her eyes full of complicated emotions. "Connie, what do you want?"

I looked at her firmly and said, "I don't want anything. I just want the truth. I want Jeff to pay for what he has done."

Lena sneered coldly, "Pay? Do you think he cares? Right now, he only cares about himself."

"But since things have come this far, I don't want to keep dragging this out."

"Here's the deal: I'll give you 300 million. You take the money and never show up in our lives again."

Her words unleashed a wave of intense disgust inside me.

Does she really think money can fix everything?

Does she honestly believe I'd trade my dignity and love for money?

"Do you think money can buy everything?" I said coldly, "I'm telling you, I don't want your money, and I'm not leaving."

"I want Jeff to face the punishment he deserves. I want him to know he can't hurt others so easily."

Lena Mussolini looked at me, surprise flashing in her eyes: "You're refusing the toast but forcing down the penalty drink. Three hundred million is no small sum. If you miss this opportunity, there won't be another."

"I don't need your money," I said firmly, "I only want the truth and justice."

Lena Mussolini was silent for a moment, then said, "Since you're so stubborn, I have no choice. But you'd better think carefully about the consequences of your actions."

With that, she stood up and turned to leave.

I watched her walk away, a storm of emotions swirling inside me.

I know this war is far from over. I have to face everything ahead with strength, for myself and for the child inside me.
